A Stage Play by Ayana Sala Baugh

Keeping Little Bullies from Becoming Big Ones

When we send our children off to school each day we have visions of them in classes learning new things, making new friends and developing social skills that will serve them throughout their lives.  In short, it’s a positive growing experience.

The idea that ours or any young child would be subjected to the torment of bullying is something none of us want to think about.  Yet, it happens.  Making matters even worse, the little bullies of the first, second and third grade – if left unchecked – grow to become the bigger and more destructive bullies of the latter grades.

‘I Am Not Afraid’ is a stage play I’ve written and produced featuring Loopiethotamus, the ‘Chihuahua Who Thinks He’s a Hippopotamus’.

The play is all about Loopiethotamus going to school for the first time and being the target of a group of little bullies.  How does he deal with them?  What kind of support does he get from his family and friends?  What makes a young child become a little bully and what steps can we take to correct their behavior so they don’t become bigger bullies later?

Thank you for your interest and I look forward to your support in putting on a play the whole family will love and one that just might stop a little bully today from becoming a bigger one tomorrow.
