The 'I Am Not Afraid' Village will be a liaison for children and families to receive help from outside resources with bullying and abuse. It takes the love of a village to end bullying. Through teaching children at a young age respect and love for one another, acceptance, and forgiveness, we can take our children, families, and communities back!

Our 'I Am Not Afraid' Village partners include: Christian Family Counseling ~ 1601 B Olde William Street Fredericksburg, VA 22401 ~ 540-371-9900-; Y-Me ~ 804-218-5553; Christian Counseling & Training Center ~ 3602 Floyd Ave Richmond, VA 23221 ~ 804-358-1343; Richmond Peace Education Center ~ www.rpec.org ~ 804-232-1002; Youth and Family Dynamics Services, LLC ~ 804-477-3092

Together, we can STOP a little bully from becoming a Big One!

Together, we can STOP a little bully from becoming a Big One!

When we send our children off to school each day we have visions of them in classes learning new things, making new friends and developing social skills that will serve them throughout their lives.  In short, it should be a positive growing experience. The idea that ours or any young child would be subjected to the torment of bullying is something none of us want to think about.  Yet, it happens.  Making matters even worse, the little bullies of the first, second and third grade – if left unchecked – grow to become the bigger and more destructive bullies of the latter grades.

What do all Big Bullies have in common? They all used to be little bullies! If only someone had taken the time to show them how bullying was not only hurting others but hurting themselves too, their lives may have taken a more positive turn. Think of all the pain that can be avoided if we could just get to bullies when they’re just getting started!
